Welcome to the Flamingo Pool
We’re a not-for-profit, community-run pool based in the heart of Axminster. Since 1998, we’ve helped over 40,000 annual visitors stay active, recover from injuries, learn to swim, and connect with others through inclusive, water-based activities.
Whether you’re swimming for fitness, building water confidence, joining a class, or accessing vital hydrotherapy, everyone is welcome here – regardless of age, ability, or background.
Flamingo Pool is more than just a pool – it’s a space for physical wellbeing, social connection, and lifelong skills. As a registered charity, every visit and donation helps keep our doors open and our community supported.

General Swimming

Children’s Lessons

Aqua Gym

Water Babies

Private Hire
Book the pool for birthdays, clubs, or groups — perfect for private use and events.
Lifeguard Courses
Train with us and gain a nationally recognised qualification in swim safety.
Inflatable Fun
High-energy sessions with our giant pool inflatable — perfect for school holidays.
WE NEED YOU
Our hydrotherapy pool has supported thousands of local people – now it needs your support.
For over 26 years, our Hydro Pool has supported local people through rehabilitation, gentle exercise, pain relief, and wellbeing support — now we’re asking for your help to complete the final stage of its restoration.
With just 463 sponsorship tiles remaining, every contribution brings us closer to completing the retiling project and securing the future of this much-loved community facility.
As a lasting thank you, all sponsored names will be displayed on a commemorative board beside the Hydro Pool wall for years to come.
